Albert Einstein's quote rings true! Snake Sandbags® were created by a guy who never wanted to bail-out his girlfriend's parent's flooded garage ever again. After hauling hundreds of pounds of sandbags and a sore back every time a huge rainstorm was on the cusp, he saw the market provided no ideal solutions: a sandbag or equivalent that is lightweight, durable, easy to manage, and effective in diverting and blocking water. So, he set out to solve this problem himself. After much prototyping and testing, Snake Sandbags® was born.


Snake Sandbags® are not traditional square- or rectangular-like sandbags. They are long and narrow up to 10 feet in length (yes, snake-like). Two sizes are available - Standard and Large. All Snake Sandbags® are custom crafted after orders have been placed.
 

What's the difference in sizes and what should you choose? 

We always recommend considering Large Snake Sandbags® for most applications since the additional weight is more effective especially with water applications. Some customers decide to go with Standard Snake Sandbags® due to the smaller size difference or lighter weight requirements. Not sure?   • Lightweight
    Regular sandbags can weigh up to 50 pounds. 5-foot Large Snake Sandbags® can weigh 27 pounds. Do the math. Which one would you rather lift?

  • Durable
    Snake Sandbags® are made out of CORDURA® nylon and are tear resistant. You can drag them on concrete and they will not rip. Don't try that with any other sandbag.

  • Easy to Manage
    Traditional sandbags are not only heavy, but also hard to carry. Snake Sandbags® conforms to the average hand size. You can even put a couple of them on your shoulders.

  • Flexible
    Have you ever tried bending traditional sandbags around a corner? Good luck.

  • Stackable
    Build up by stacking Snake Sandbags® in a pyramid fashion. For example, start with 3 on the bottom, 2 in the middle and 1 on top.

  • Inner Liner
    Snake Sandbags® are designed with a sealable inner liner to keep the sand dry (will vary based on usage). Ever carry a sandbag with wet sand especially on your shoulders? Even the idea of it sounds messy and disgusting. Not with Snake Sandbags® since the sand stays dry.

Standard Snake Sandbags® have a diameter of up to 2.5 inches / 6.35 cm (think of a can of Coca-Cola or Pepsi). Lengths are available up to 6 feet.

Large Snake Sandbags® have a diameter of up to 3.2 inches / 8.13 cm in diameter and though only 0.7 inches/1.78 cm bigger in diameter than Standard Snake Sandbags®, they can weigh up to 50% heavier. Lengths are available from 2 to 10 feet.
